When the pollen count spikes or the outdoor air quality index climbs, your house is supposed to be the place you can breathe easy. We help make sure it is.
All the air in your home passes through your heating and cooling system over and over through the day. That makes it the best place to clean, dry and freshen the air, and also the place where problems start. A leaky return duct in the attic can pull in dust and insulation fibers. A dirty coil or drain pan can grow mold. A filter that is too restrictive can starve the system of airflow.
North Alabama adds its own challenges: heavy spring pollen, long humid summers and homes closed up tight for months at a time. We start by figuring out what is actually wrong, then recommend only what fixes it.

Match what you notice to where we would look first.
Usually leaky return ducts or a filter that fits poorly. Sealing ducts and upgrading the filter cabinet does more than more dusting.
Better filtration catches more pollen and dander. We size it so your system still gets enough airflow.
High humidity or growth in the coil or drain pan. Dehumidification, UV light and a clean drain fix the source.
Humidity the AC is not removing. A whole-home dehumidifier handles it.
A closed-up house, a dirty filter or dusty ducts. A better filter and sealed ducts help, and we will tell you if something else is going on.
Often a drain line, dirty coil or duct problem. Our guide to HVAC smells covers the common ones.
Options that work with the system you already have.

We will not sell you a gadget for a problem you do not have. We find the cause, explain it, and recommend the fix that matches it.
AQI, the Air Quality Index, measures outdoor air. On high-pollen or smoky days, good filtration and sealed ducts keep more of that outdoor air from ending up inside.
It can if the filter is too restrictive for your system. We size media filters and cabinets so your system keeps the airflow it needs.
It depends on the filter type, pets and dust in your home. Standard one-inch filters usually need changing far more often than thicker media filters.
Sometimes, but it is not always the fix people expect. Our article Is Duct Cleaning Worth It? covers when it helps.
